How do I create a Subdomain? Print

  • Login to cPanel.
  • Locate and click on the Subdomains icon under the Domains category.

  • Enter the name of the subdomain, and then provide a Document Root.

Document Root: The document root is the folder where the website files for a domain name are stored. Since cPanel allows for multiple domain names (addon domains and subdomains), you need to have a unique folder for each domain. The website you develop at subdomain.yourdomain.com can also be accessed via yourdomain.com/subdomain.

  • Click the Create button and the subdomain will be created.
